Recently I saw the movie 'Invictus' with Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman. Until then I had never heard the poem that inspired Nelson Mandela, the man behind so many major decisions. The two lines at the end of the poem really struck a cord with me.

"I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul."

So, like I always do with things that inspire me, I decided to use it as, well.... inspiration!

So I made this.



I used a combinations of brushes, motion blurs, and layer effects to create this.

So, ive been playing around with some tutorials lately, because I get sidetracked easily.. ;) So I decided to make a 'modern wizard'.. you can find the tutorial here.

It didn't take me as long as I thought it would, and i learnt some really cool new techniques for cutting around 'fly-away hair' that worked well.. so this beauty is my new wallpaper on my computer :P

I also wanted to give a quick shout out to these guys --> Textures Library. I downloaded a shite-load of new textures and patterns and stuff from them to add to photoshop, and you know what? The best part is - they're ALL FREE! So go grab them.. and I have to mention that I didnt find these all on my own :P HV found them for me :)
